
About Reiki
We all lead busy, hectic lives and it is no wonder imbalances happen in our body, mind and spirit. Often we forget our self-care, or to to slow down and take time for ourselves, and we can sometimes start to suffer from anxiety or to feel stuck in an emotional rut.
Reiki is a form of energy healing that helps to bring us back into balance. The healing process is very gentle and subtle, yet can lead to profound emotional changes. It heals on all levels; mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. It doesn’t directly remove mental or physical trauma, but it shifts the focus and reveals other ways of being.
It restores balance and enhances health and wellbeing. It helps us to worry less about the things we cannot control, meaning we can spend more time being present and living in the moment.
Reiki for Musicians
I’m a professional French horn player and conductor with more than 20 years of experience.
Even after all those years of experience I can still suffer from performance anxiety, and sometimes find myself in a position where the anxiety can intrude on my practice and preparation.
I find Reiki energy helps to ground me and aids my focus, helping me stay centred and feeling like I’m doing the best I can.
Reiki for Animals
Our animals are our equals and we should look after them as we look after ourselves.
They have their anxieties but more importantly pick up on ours. I started healing our rescue cat, Patsy, shortly after she came to live with us.
She had been beaten by the people in her previous home. She was trusting to a point but you could see as soon as she let her guard down she remembered she had been hurt and mustn’t trust humans.
Giving her regular Reiki treatments helped to form a new stronger trust, and an unconditional relationship grew between us at her own pace. The sad little girl that came to live with us is now happy, relaxed and is a dear friend.
